The organization was established alongside previous NASA directors, think tank strategists, and engineers with deep institutional knowledge of the space sector, and its programming is built around empowering a new generation of “astropreneurs” — founders building the ventures that will carry the New Space economy forward.
Fargnoli’s career at NYSA is not that of a passive administrator. His own career — from national electro-optical and SAR imaging systems to commercial space ventures and AI-driven mission architecture — tracks closely with the arc of the New Space industry itself.
That firsthand experience gives him a credibility at the organization that goes beyond leadership: he has built the kinds of systems the next generation of space entrepreneurs is trying to build, and he brings that perspective directly to NYSA’s programming and partnerships.
